The Upgraded Dodge Charger

A recent video has surfaced of a Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody being used as part of the production for a new advertisement. This video allows us to know that a new version of this car will become the one that we will want to have the drive we’re looking for. When this new model of the Charger shows up, it’s going to be a car that can be the most fun as a super sedan with the power to get your kids to school in a hurry and the drive you’re looking for when you take it out on the road.

Not the First Time We’ve Seen this Car

The wide Dodge Charger was shown on public roads during its testing phase before it ever came to be a reality. Now, we know this car is going to be part of the lineup and offer us the wider stance, the aggressive appearance, and the power that we want to enjoy when it’s time to get behind the wheel and have a great drive. Now that we know this car is going to be a reality, we can wonder how much fun it will be to have a car that has the incredible power and performance offered in this Dodge.

What We See in the Video

The video that showed up on Instagram by evil_srt gives us some indication as to what this new model of the Charger will bring to the mix. This car shows off a big rear wing, a vented bumper cover, a deep diffuser, large dual exhaust tips, and some extremely wide tires in the front and in the rear. The whole idea behind this model is to make use of the same items that we enjoy in the Challenger Widebody.

The Reality for the Charger Widebody

Currently, the Challenger Widebody style is used for three models to give us the power and performance we love to enjoy. These models are the R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, and Redeye. The R/T Scat Pack offers 485 horsepower for the drive, the SRT Hellcat brings you 717 ponies, and the Redeye will tear up your tires with the power of 797 horses galloping under the hood. The question we ask is whether or not the Charger will benefit from the Redeye model or the bump in power offered in the SRT Hellcat model when it arrives?

We Can be Hopeful

The use of the Widebody build gives the Dodge team a reason and an excuse to make use of the Redeye tuning on the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. Currently, the Charger at the SRT Hellcat level gives us 707 horsepower, but adding the Redeye model will increase the power to the same level as the Challenger. This is something we’re looking forward to with our fingers crossed that the team will give us a Charger that has the same power level as the Challenger. We’re ready to have a sedan that and scream down the track the same way as the Challenger and it needs to be the Charger Widebody.
