There’s a new model being offered for the 2019 GMC Sierra and its one that’s built to give you more of what you’re looking for when you drive.
If you don’t need a massive V8 engine, but you still want a quality truck that gives you an excellent drive, the GMC Sierra Elevation is what you’re looking for. Offered in the double cab models of the Sierra, this trim level can be powered by a smaller engine than most because you’re not upgrading to a crew cab for the drive that needs to be completed.
The Visual Upgrades for the Sierra Elevation
There are several small visual changes that distinguish this truck from the rest of the GMC Sierra lineup for the drive that you want to have when you head out on the road. The door handles, bumpers, and grill surround all match the body color. There’s a black grill insert, tow hooks, side window trim, and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The headlights, fog lights, and taillights all have LED accents to give you the lighting and the look you want when you’re looking for something more in the truck you drive.
The Engines You Can Choose
The Elevation trim is offered in either 2WD or 4WD and can be had with the 5.3-liter V8 engine that you’re familiar with, but if you want a lighter build, and more fuel mileage from your truck, you’ll choose the smaller engine. This smaller engine is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder model that makes 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque for the drive. Both engines are attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission for the drive you want when you take a ride. There will eventually be a third engine option for the Elevation, which will be the diesel engine.
What You’ll Have to do for Off-Road Qualities
If you want to have the GMC Sierra Elevation model as a truck that gives you the ability to go out on the trails, you’ll have to add the X31 off-road package which will cost you more. This optional package gives you a specialized suspension with Rancho shocks, a locking rear differential, hill descent control, a heavy-duty air filter, underbody skid plates, dual exhaust, a two-speed transfer case, and all-terrain tires. The ProGrade trailering system and roof rack accessories are also available to choose from but are not included in the base model of the Sierra Elevation.
This Truck is Ready for You
When you want a full-size truck that gives you the drive you’re looking for with a higher level of fuel mileage, the new 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation has the option you want so that you can have the quality, and the savings you desire.
