The new look Hyundai Elantra might just turn a few more heads than usual, with an updated look and superb feel behind the wheel.
Hyundai has been one of the brands we’ve talked about often and it seems they’re positioning themselves to be the choice that most of us want to make for our drive. This brand has upgraded even their most common model, the Elantra, to give us more style, more features, and the qualities we’re looking for. As we prepare for the 2019 model year, the Elantra is certainly going to be the compact car that you should take seriously and consider driving when you’re ready to head out on the road.
The Look of the New Elantra
There’s no denying the upgrades and improvements when you see this car and prepare to take it for a drive. The Hyundai Elantra now has a restyled front and an improved rear to give you the style you’re sure to admire. These areas now consist of a redesigned front grill, new LED headlights, a new hood, and a redesigned rear that has different taillights than it had in the past. The look you’ll see is similar to the Sonata and offers you something that feels like the Hyundai Le Fil Rouge concept that we’ve seen in the past.
Excellent New Extras
If you’re looking to have your Hyundai Elantra with some of the options offered, you’re going to be glad to see a list that has grown. These additional items include larger 18-inch alloy wheels, a new eight-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The seven-inch screen that’s been used in the 2018 model year will now be part of the lower trims as we move into the 2019 version of this car.
Other ways you can have an improved model of the Elantra are with the new active safety features. These include blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, active lane control, a rearview camera, and cross traffic alerts. If you add all these new safety items to the mix, you’re going to be amazed by what this car has to offer you and how easily it can keep you safe when you head out on the road.
The Power Remains the Same
If you expected to see upgraded power under the hood, you can forget about it. The powertrains are the same as before with the 149 horsepower coming from a 2.0-liter engine, a 130 horsepower turbocharged 1.4-liter power plant, and a 1.6-liter turbocharged model that can provide you with 204 horsepower for the drive.
Awaiting the Arrival
The pricing and release date of the new 2019 Hyundai Elantra doesn’t have an expected release date, but you can be sure it will be soon. Once it arrives, you’ll want to make your way to your nearby Hyundai dealership in order to learn more about the Elantra and what it offers you for the drive. This car, that we already loved and admired, has simply gotten better with new style features and new safety features inside for the drive you’ll love for several years.
