Whenever you hear someone who lived through the 1950s and 1960s talk about the good old days of performance and power from the automotive industry you can put on a smile and remind them that the performance offered at that time is nothing compared to what we see on the market today.
The American automotive industry is one that brings us a large variety of vehicles to choose from to make sure we can have the ones that are going to make us proud of what has been accomplished. Here are several American vehicles that you can certainly offer as evidence of the quality way we can build what we want to drive.
Dodge Viper – While this car has been discontinued once again, this vehicle is a true example of raw performance and power on the road and at the track. Powered by the 8.4-liter V10 engine that gave us 645 horsepower the Viper was one of the most uncontrollable cars in existence and one that gave us a dynamic way to experience a drive.
Tesla Model S – This car is unarguably the best EV model to make its way to the market. You can have the P100D model and know that you can reach sixty mph in only 2.5 seconds using the 700 lb.-ft. of torque that’s offered immediately. You’ll be amazed at what this car can do and certainly be proud that it’s built in the US.
Ford F-150 Raptor – No country can make trucks like the US and no other truck has been sold as often as the F-150. This version of the truck is a high-performance off –road model that can get the job done and allow you to handle a variety of terrains around the country. There is 450 horsepower coming out of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine to make this possible.
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE – The day this car took to the track at Nurburgring and ripped off one of the fastest laps ever seen, it had the attention of the world. With 650 horsepower and the ability to reach insane speeds, this car could have easily driven around this track bathed in red, white, and blue to show off the patriotic feeling we felt the pride in this fast muscle car.
Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 – Another awesome sports car that we know as one of the most iconic American pony cars ever built, this car carries the Shelby name and can provide 526 horsepower from the V8 engine to make this a car that will tear up the track and continue to be one of the most highly recognized domestic models.
Dodge Challenger Demon – As the 2018 model year comes to a beginning, the new Demon will take the world by storm with its 840 horsepower engine and ability to reach sixty mph in a little over two seconds while completing the quarter-mile in less than ten. This is a car that we are certainly proud of that can show some of the foreign models what a drag car should be.
Jeep Wrangler – There isn’t another vehicle that is trusted as often for heading out on the trails around the country. The Wrangler has the ability to roll over large rocks, fallen trees, and massive roots to be a Jeep SUV that you know you want to drive and enjoy what it can do. This brute is certainly one that shows off the patriotic spirit with the way it helps you explore the wilderness.
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – This is the most powerful Corvette ever built and when you add the Z07 performance package to the mix you have a car that can run around the track as fast as you want with the only limits being your own driving skills. This car is the more affordable supercar on the market, making it possible for you to own without selling off your first-born.
Cadillac CTS-V – When a luxury car uses a sports car power plant it’s something seriously amazing. This version of the Cadillac CTS uses the same engine from the Corvette and produces 640 horsepower and 630 lb.-ft. of torque to give you the right way to drive around the track or out on the road. Enjoy the performance and pride you’ll feel when you take this amazing car for a fast lap.
Ford GT – As Americans, we sometimes produce cars just to show the world that we can. The original GT was a spite filled machine and the newest model continues the tradition of being able to offer insane speed in order to have the ability to reach 216 mph and possibly be the car that can be legendary at LeMans once again.
