For those of us in the US, the Giulia is a new model on the market that hasn’t even allowed the paint to dry before coming out with a new vehicle to add to the lineup. As far as Alfa Romeo is concerned, we needn’t concern ourselves at all with this car since it will not make its way across the pond to be sold in the US, at least not anytime very soon. Even with that said, this new model that will make a debut at the Paris Motor Show has certainly piqued our interest and makes for a piece of the conversation for us to have.
This new Giulia is called the Veloce and showed itself in Paris earlier this month. This is a car that is a different part of the trim of the Giulia and offers up a new set of features to make it different from the Giulia that we already have on the market and enjoy. This new Veloce showed off two new engines that are exclusively for this model that give the car some interest and make it a car that will be enjoyed by all.
The two new engines are a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline model and a 2.2-liter diesel engine. The gas powered model will offers up 280 horsepower and the diesel 210 ponies. Both of these engines have an eight-speed automatic transmission attached to them and feature the Q4 AWD that is enjoyed on other Alfa Romeo models. This gives those in the EMEA market area a great selection for the Giulia and variation over the original version. Of course, the engines aren’t the only parts of this car that will be different from your typical Giulia.
For a difference in appearances the Veloce models features new bumpers, glossy black door trim, a rear diffuser, 19-inch wheels and xenon headlights. This gives the car a fantastic new look and one that will attract anyone who wants to enjoy the ride. Speaking of the ride, stepping inside this car gives you new black leather Sport seats, a sport steering wheel and aluminum trimming throughout the car. This adds a bit of extra drama to the look of the interior of the car and makes this a car that’s a lot of fun to drive and one that is easy to love.
Not only did those in attendance in Paris get to witness this new Veloce model, but Alfa Romeo also brought two Giulia Super models to the show and a Competition Red Giulia Quadrifoglio. This gave the booth at Alfa Romeo a great audience to entertain as they enjoyed the show and what this great venue had to offer. Other Alfa Romeo models that were in attendance include the Giulietta, Mito, 4C Coupe and 4C Spider models to allow those who love to have a look at what Alfa Romeo has to offer, a great menu of cars that allowed plenty of viewing.
